Circa 1900 VICTORIAN PAIR OF STAINED GLASS WINDOWS for sale in Dunedin, Florida

An exceptional example of ornate Victorian design, these two Fan Medallion stairwell windows were originally installed as one unit in Newcastle, Pa. Each, in the original oak framing is 36 1/4" high x 28 1/2" wide, the whole unit being 36 1/4" x 72 1/2". Typical of the Victorian style using hand-cut jewels there are 34 vibrant jewels in the set and a combination of opalescent and rippled cathedral glass. The panels have the original rebars attached for support and are in extremely good condition. Three pieces have tiny fractures which have been professionally sealed. No glass or jewels have been replaced.
Because of the glass quality these windows offer total privacy. The panels were appraised in 2000 at $2,500.

The current owner has documented antique glass in Europe for the Stained glass Association of America and written several articles for that Association's magazine. She has had a full working glass studio since 1975 and her own glasswork has been commissioned both in and outside the U.S.
